Juliana “Jay” Ramirez, was born on October 23, 2001. Jay will be graduating in May 2024, with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in 3D Graphics and Animation, and a minor in Illustration at the University of Colorado Denver. Ever since she could remember, she created and consumed art however she could. Throughout her life, she has had an affinity for cartoons and video games and has always been inspired by those mediums. Ever since she sat down in front of her television, she watched anything animated she could get her hands on. Anything from Adventure Time, and The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, to Sailor Moon and more. Watching those animated shows, she felt seen and like she was connected to those characters on the screen. In the same vein, she has enjoyed the fascinating worlds of video games.
There has not been a single genre of game she has not enjoyed. The medium always felt ahead of the curb when it came to graphics and technology. From Animal Crossing: New Horizons to The Last of Us, there has always been a part of the immersive experience that brought Jay to 3D Graphics in the first place. Jay is looking forward to working in the 3D graphics industry and hopes to work at a game studio, making assets and working on amazing games. She hopes her talent and passion can bring the same joy that the games and cartoons did for her.
